The HP OfficeJet D135 has scanning, copying, faxing and color printing capabilities. These services help small businesses be more efficient and save money on multiple machines. Compatible with Windows and Mac, this inkjet unit was designed to make daily tasks easier and simplify workloads. Even though it is slightly outdated, having been released in 2002 and since discontinued, it still meets office level standards.

There are only 2 HP D135 ink cartridges in this device—a black and tri-color. However, there are 4 different printheads for each color of printer ink—cyan, magenta, yellow and black. Using HP PhotoREt color layering technology, tiny dots of Officejet D135 ink are released over the page, overlapping to fill gaps in color. The black printer ink tank has a page yield of 800, which is considered high capacity. The tri-color HP OfficeJet D125 ink cartridge maxes out at 470 pages.

The copy feature has a resolution of 2400x1200 dpi using color HP D135 ink and a max of 1200x600 dpi in black. It prints at the same resolution. The scanner can reach 600x600 dpi and has an automatic document feeder. The fax feature is compatible with G3 and has a max transfer rate of 33.6 Kbps. This device can print and copy at about 18 pages per minute with black HP D135 ink and 16 ppm in color.

The HP OfficeJet D135 inkjet printer weighs a little over 30 pounds and has dimensions of 13.3x21.85x16.3 inches. It has a 5,000 page per month duty cycle, and offers USB and parallel ports, as well as slots for memory sticks. The color layering technology ensures accurate colors, and the 2-sided printing option reduces cost and waste. This is an older unit, but it is still relevant on the market.
