The HP CP3525 color laser printer comes in three models. The CP3525n is the base model, which includes ethernet networking, the CP3525dn adds automatic duplexing, or two-sided printing, and the CP3525x adds all of the above, plus an extra 500 sheets of input paper capacity and a postcard tray. If buyers think they may need the extra features at some point, it will be cheaper to buy the CP3525x model upfront, as the upgrade options are more expensive than the upfront price difference.

Speaking of upgrade options, the unit has quite a bit of expandability. The CP3525n and CP3525dn models can both add a 500-sheet input paper tray for extra capacity, and the unit's 512 MB of RAM can be upgraded to a maximum of 1 GB if needed.
