Weighing in at 11 pounds, buyers can't complain about having to carrying it around, because it is so light. Worried the home doesn't have room for a machine that is really three units all in one? Well don't be—the dimensions of this petite unit are only 8.1x17.7x19.9 inches.

One thing that is always a concern is cost of operation. However, buyers do have the option of remanufactured printer ink from third party vendors instead of buying Photosmart C5393 ink cartridges straight from HP. Remanufactured replacement HP C5393 ink will cost a lot less than genuine ink, but surprisingly enough, they last just as long and produce just as high of resolutions.

So how many HP C5393 ink cartridges are needed for operation anyway? For this particular unit, you are going to need to maintain four Photosmart C5393 ink tanks. These are filled with cyan, yellow, magenta, black and photo black printer ink, and each comes in both a standard capacity and a high capacity version. The high capacity offer a lower cost per page, but will cost a little more upfront than the standard HP C5393 ink.

This inkjet unit has the ability to produce up to 31 pages per minute when printing or copying in black-and-white. Color prints will be just a bit slower at 30 pages per minute. The copier has the ability to copy up to 50 pages per each original document, and it can reduce and enlarge documents from 25% to 400%. Resolutions as high as 9600 dpi are possible for both printing and copying.
