The HP Photosmart C5240 is an all in one that will work great in a home office or very small business environment. With fast speeds, high resolutions and positive reviews, there isn't much negative to say about this inkjet unit. It will print, it will scan and it will copy, giving most home office users exactly what they need in a printing unit. Though it doesn't fax, most will be content with the multifunction features it does offer. The monthly duty cycle for this all in one is 3,000 pages.

Needing a black and a tricolor Photosmart C5240 ink cartridge for use, it also offers two optional tanks for photo printing. These optional HP C5240 ink cartridges are photo color and photo gray which will give printed photographs the highest quality possible. The photo gray, photo color, tricolor and black printer ink tanks have yields of 80, 130, 170 and 200, respectively. Compared to other tanks for similar models, this HP C5240 ink yields are disappointing. Because of the low yields, those who print often will find themselves spending an immense amount of money on ink.

The best way to prevent your pocket book from being empty is to buy remanufactured versions of the Photosmart C5240 ink from third party vendors. Though these printer ink tanks cost relatively less—usually only a fraction of the OEM price—they will impress buyers with delivering the same great quality. Remanufactured HP C5240 ink is the most economical choice available.
