Home office users looking for a quick, inexpensive quality prints from home should take a look at the HP Photosmart C4599. This inkjet unit can print, scan and copy up to 1,000 pages per month, which will be enough to satisfy most home users. This all in one weighs only 11 pounds and measures 17.09x23.11x6.38 inches. It will be easy to move around and find a place for on a small desk space. Windows or Mac compatible, it can connect via USB to almost all PC's. The convenience of wireless printing also comes standard.

The HP C4599 primarily uses only two Photosmart C4599 ink cartridges. One of these contains black printer ink, and the other contains color. Creating about 30 pages per minute when using the black HP C4599 ink, this unit can rise to any occasion. It also prints up to 23 pages per minute using only color ink.

The black HP C4599 ink cartridge yields around 200 pages, while the color tanks yield only 170 pages. The optional third Photosmart C4599 ink tank—which is primarily for photo printing—can only yield 130 pages. If low volume printing is all that is needed, this unit will be fine. But when printing at mid to high-volume, this inkjet unit will become a major expense due to the high cost of low yielding printer ink.

Though the HP C4599 seems like a great unit all around, user reviews tend to be very negative. Many find that the HP C4599 ink runs out much too quickly and the wireless connection is low quality. Many have complained that the unit itself is unreliable and it is very loud when in use. While there are quite a few negative reviews, there are positive ones as well, and the positive ones all state that the C4599 has one thing right—high quality time and again.
