Weighing only 16.9 pounds, the HP Photosmart C3125 all-in-one printer will fit comfortably in any home office looking for a new addition. It has a size of only 6.4x17.1x15 inches that will make a very small footprint and fit on almost any desk space. It connects via USB cord, but it is also compatible with a few memory cards as well—Memory Stick, Memory Stick Pro and Secure Digital Card are few of the most popular. It scans, copies and prints documents with high quality results, and although it doesn't have faxing capabilities, most will find it fits the bill for a home office just fine.

The scanner is pretty impressive due to its ability to turn scanned text into editable text on the spot. It also has a 48-bit color depth and an 8-bit grayscale depth. While the scanner can only work with paper up to 8.5x11 inches in size, the printer and copier are a bit more versatile, producing documents up to 8.5x14 inches in size.

The inkjet copier and printer both use two HP C3125 ink cartridges for the majority of prints. One is black and one is tricolor, holding cyan, magenta and yellow printer ink. Using black Photosmart C3125 ink cartridges, up to 30 pages can be printed per minute, but in color only 24 pages can be printed per minute.

High quality results seem to be all the C3125 inkjet unit is capable of. Using only black HP C3125 ink a resolution of 1200x1200 dpi can be obtained for printing, and with color printer ink the resolution can reach 4800x1200 dpi. The resolution for copying can be an optimized 4800x1200 dpi at best with the help of color or black Photosmart C3125 ink. A third optional HP C3125 ink tank is available for the best photo documents possible, making this unit great for home users and photo enthusiasts alike.
