It's easy to find a simple printer, but it's not always easy to find the right inkjet printer. The HP Photosmart C3100 is an all in one that provides most features home office users need. It lack faxing, but it can copy, scan and print better than many competing models on the market. Not only can it print on many media sizes like legal, executive and letter, but it can also print on a lot of media types as well. Photo paper, envelopes, plain paper, transparencies, iron-on transfers and cards are only a few of the many types supported. Its 3,000 page duty cycle and compatibility with Windows and Mac operating systems, makes it a great addition to any home office.

For optimal printing, only two HP C3100 ink cartridges are needed, and these hold black and tricolor printer ink. The black HP Photosmart C3100 ink yields 220 pages, as does the color printer ink. A third optional HP C3100 ink is offered exclusively for photo printing, which yields only 130 pages. In order to use it, though, it must take the place of the black HP C3100 ink. Changing out these tanks of ink may become somewhat annoying to some users.

If the low yielding tanks aren't a problem, buyers will find the Photosmart C3100 cartridges to be inexpensive compared to other models. If consumers print high capacities at a rapid rate, though, this device will become much too expensive. How can users avoid expensive inks though? By purchasing ink from third party vendors.

The C3100 has a small size of 6.4x17.1x 15 inches, and weighs only 16.9 pounds. This will be an easy fit into nearly any home office, and it will not only be easy to setup but easy to use. For the home user looking for a simple, photo printing inkjet unit, the C3100 is a perfect.
