Businesses that are looking to simplify the large print jobs and need to have a networking unit that multiple people can print on from their cubicles; the HP Deskjet 995 is an affordable choice. At the beginning of the decade, this inkjet printer was among the most innovative and exciting on the market. The technology had soared above and beyond previous models, and consumers fell in love with wireless printing.

The 995 is an efficient machine, cranking out 17 pages per minute using black HP 995 ink. When using the color printer ink, it can produce up to 13 pages in a minute. A maximum resolution of 2400x1200 dpi can be achieved using the tricolor Deskjet 995 ink, while the black can only reach 600x600 dpi. The speed and quality of this unit are impressive, especially for an older machine.

With only 2 different HP 995 ink cartridges, finding replacements should not be hard. They are available from HP but can be found much cheaper from third party vendors. The black printer ink tank has a page yield of 830 pages. The tricolor (yellow, cyan and magenta) Deskjet HP 995 ink cartridge can only yield about 450 pages before it runs out.

The best feature the 995 has is the wireless and Bluetooth capabilities. They are optional, but simple to install. Offices around the world have become more efficient because they do not have to be physically connected to a printer. The sister model, HP 995ck has the Bluetooth module already built-in.

There is an automatic duplexer for double-sided printing and an 8 MB memory. This unit was clearly designed for business use, but home users have enjoyed the ability to print directly from a mobile phone or other handheld devices. With a maximum duty cycle of 5,000 pages, the HP 995 ink may need to be replaced often, but that doesn't take away from the wonderful features of the HP Deskjet 995 inkjet printer.
