With a much higher price than the average inkjet printer, the HP Photosmart 8758 is not for everyone. It caters to those who want professional-quality photo prints and don't mind paying a premium for it. Its print speeds are fast and its print quality is impressive, but its 9-ink system makes replacing HP 8758 ink an expensive proposition.

The design of the HP 8758 is not as compact as consumer inkjet models, but it is not overly bulky. Its 25 inch width gives it a larger footprint that will need to be accounted for, but also gives it support for larger media formats, which many buyers will appreciate. The 8758 can support many types and sizes of media, and it even supports borderless printing at sizes up to A3+. The input tray holds up to 80 sheets, but many larger sizes will need to use the 5-sheet bypass tray or single-sheet rear feed slot.

In addition, memory card slots and a PictBridge USB port for getting files into the machine easily are available. Both Windows and Mac platforms are supported.

The cost of printer ink is one of the only downsides. The 9-ink system creates better photos but also means more printer ink to replace. Luckily HP 8758 ink cartridges are fairly inexpensive.
