Companies with large space and large pockets may want to consider the very expensive HP DesignJet 820. Ranging somewhere between $54,000 and $55,000, this colossal unit was made for businesses that specialize in specialty printing and media. Able to print, copy and scan, it's hard to believe everything it is capable of using its HP 820 ink. It is a very hefty machine that no one in the office will be able to lift due to the 396.8 pound weight. A lot of space will also be taken up by the 820 due to its 87.2x33.1x59.1 inch size.

There are four DesignJet 820 ink cartridges used for printing. They are filled with cyan, magenta, yellow and black printer ink. The black HP 820 ink will last 1,750 pages before needing replaced, while the color tanks will last about 1,400 pages each. For most users, that will mean printer ink doesn't need to be replaced too often. For those creating maps or very detailed graphics projects, the HP 820 ink will make it possible for very high resolutions and perfect line accuracy.

Though it's easy to assume a machine of this size would be expensive to maintain, this one really isn't. The HP 820 ink cartridges are relatively affordable; however, if buyers choose to save money remanufactured versions are available too. Remanufactured DesignJet 820 ink will last just as long and work just as wonderfully as the OEM product, but will cost only a fraction of the price.

The 820 is very versatile. It offers finished output handling, roll feed, single-sheet feed, automatic cutting, straight-through paper path options for cardboard originals and all-wheel drive.
