Even though it's a little bulky for a home all-in-one inkjet printer, the HP OfficeJet 7313 to offer, from scanning, faxing, and copying to solid photo printing. Its office features are well-rounded, it is rated for speeds of up to 30 pages per minute, and third-party HP 7313 printer ink can save users a lot of money.

One of the more significant upgrades from previous models comes in the 7313's 2.5-inch color display. This gives users more direct printing functionality, and allows for easier printing from the PictBridge port or memory card slots without a PC. There are even some minor editing features included to quickly enhance photos before printing. The screen also shows the system menu, and display error messages or alerts when the OfficeJet 7313 ink supplies are running low.

The build quality of the 7313 is a step up from the average budget inkjet model, and although it is a little on the large side, it should still be compact enough for home use. The device measures 11.5x21.6x17.2 inches, and weighs 26.2 pounds. The 150-sheet main paper tray is pretty roomy for a home model, and the automatic document feeder can handle up to 50 sheets at a time.

The OEM prices for HP 7313 ink cartridges are a little on the high side, even with their large capacities. For better value, users can look for remanufactured OfficeJet 7313 ink cartridges from third-party vendors. This makes the HP 7313 printer ink much more cost-effective.

While it doesn't have some of the advanced features of some competitors, the HP OfficeJet 7313 is a nice step up from previous inkjet models in its line. The larger screen and photo preview capabilities are a big upgrade alone. Its excellent office features and solid paper handling combined with affordable supplies make it a good value for its price.
