The HP DesignJet 70 is a bloated inkjet printer designed for CAD students and professionals. It can print on pages as small as 4 inches wide up to 18 inches wide. It is also capable of producing banners that are up to 50 feet long. Covering a multitude of sizes and types of paper, the HP 70 is a good choice for small businesses with eclectic printing demands. Even though it is a larger unit, it can still fit on any standard sized desk.

Compatible with Mac and Windows operating system, the DesignJet 70 offers many connection options. As found in most inkjet units, it has a USB 2.0 and parallel port, but also offers an optional Jetdirect card and internal wireless. These options allow for faster and simpler image transfers.

There are four HP DesignJet 70 ink cartridges. The cyan, magenta and yellow printer ink is dye-based, while the black HP 70 ink is pigment-based, reducing smudge and increasing sharpness. As well as individual tanks of DesignJet 70 ink, there are four separate printheads. The separation of all of these makes replacing empty or damaged parts easier and cheaper to replace. The HP 70 ink cartridges all hold a page yield of 1750 pages, which also aides in low cost maintenance.

Also included in the package is Interactive HP Smart Printing Technology which continuously makes adjustments and enhancements on images to ensure the high quality result.
