With the HP Photosmart 6510 e-All-in-One, the company included many of the features that made the 5510 and 5520 inkjet series so popular, such as scanning and copying, and improved on it. Print speeds are around 11 pages per minute in black and 7.5 in color, at resolutions up to 1200 dpi, and it uses affordable HP 6510 printer ink to keep costs low.
The design of the 6510 is a bit larger, and has a darker gray look instead of glossy black. One of the main improvements over previous models is the larger touch screen control panel, which measures 3.45 inches. This screen is one of the most endearing features of the design, so making it larger is a good choice. It uses large, full-color icons to make things easy to use, and the ePrint app store offers a number of free apps to expand its capabilities. Maintenance functions and status reports, including the level of Photosmart 6510 ink remaining, are just a few taps away.
Those buyers who plan to use the 6510 on a network might be surprised that there is no ethernet port available. Instead, it is designed for wireless support, and it can handle 802.11n speeds, or it is backwards-compatible for "g" and "b" wireless. By using an app or sending files to an email address, users can utilize the ePrint system to print from just about any device and any location with an internet connection.
High printer ink costs can be a concern for an inkjet model, but HP 6510 ink cartridges offer a low cost per page. High-capacity Photosmart 6510 ink cartridges can bring it down even lower, and compatible HP 6510 printer ink offers the best prices.
With a compact frame that won't require too much space, and improvements like duplexing and a larger screen, the HP 6510 picks up where older models left off. The result is a solid multifunction device at a great price.

The 6510 e-All-in-One printer can handle scanning and copying, and is rated for ISO speeds of up to 11 pages per minute in black and 7.5 pages per minute in color. Photo enthusiasts will love its borderless photo prints, and its low price makes it a great fit for home users on a budget.
Start with the 6510 plugged in and powered on, then raise up the top access panel to access the cartridges. Wait for the carriage to move to the center before you proceed.
Each Photosmart 6510 cartridge is labeled with a color and a letter. Find the empty cartridge and press backward on the front lever to release it. You can then lift it out of the printer.
Prep the replacement HP 6510 ink cartridge by first removing it from the box, then opening and removing the plastic bag as well. Remove the yellow tape at the top by pulling it away from the cartridge, then pry the small handle away from the plastic protector to remove it.
Insert the replacement cartridge and let it settle loosely in the opening, then snap it in place by pressing down on its top. As a last step, close the access lid slowly to avoid damaging the printer.
You are now ready to resume printing with your HP Photosmart 6510 printer.
