Looking for an all-in-one printer for the home office that will last for many years, print with professional quality and not be overly expensive? Take a close look at the HP OfficeJet 5515. This is a color inkjet printer that also has the ability to make copies, send and receive faxes and scan documents to files and emails. The days of squeezing multiple machines into the small space of a home office are over, as the 5515 completely eliminates the need for more than one device. It is compatible with all major operating systems and will connect to the PC via USB port.

Color capabilities are made possible by the inclusion of two HP 5515 ink cartridges. One holds only black printer ink while the other contains cyan, magenta and yellow. The tricolor OfficeJet 5515 ink cartridge has a decent page yield of 400 prints, but the black can yield up to 520 pages before expiring. Replacement HP 5515 ink can be found online from various vendors, but it is the third party vendors that offer compatible versions. Compatible OfficeJet 5515 ink will have the same yield and create the same high quality, but for half the price.

Though inkjet printers are not necessarily known for speed, the 5515 impresses with the ability to produce up to 17 black-and-white documents per minute and 12 full color prints each minute. The speed does not negatively affect the quality though, as HP 5515 ink can render a resolution of 1200x1200 dpi on standard paper and 4800x1200 dpi on special photo paper.

Weighing less than 12 pounds, this unit comes with built-in automatic document feeder, 100-sheet input tray and 16 MB of memory. The flatbed scanner allows for thick documents to be processed, the fax machine offers 80 speed dials and a 3 second transmission rate and the copy machine can make up to 99 duplicates per original.
