The HP OfficeJet 5110 is an all-in-one inkjet printer with scanning, faxing and copying capabilities. Designed specifically for small businesses, this device simplifies everyday tasks. It can print up to 10 pages per minute using the tricolor HP 5110 ink, and up to 12 pages in black. Originally released in 2003 and since discontinued by HP, the only thing that holds the 5110 back from competing with current multi-functioning printers is the slow output rate.

Producing at a resolution of 1200x1200 dpi, the color OfficeJet 5110 ink was renovated to dry quicker to prevent smudging. The black printer ink is pigment based, which created more solid and crisp text. With only 2 HP 5110 ink cartridges, installation and replacement is simple. Color printer ink tanks hold a page yield of 450, and the black can last for 500 prints. Directly from the manufacturer, HP OfficeJet 5110 ink cartridges can get pricey, but compatible third party tanks are available and are much more inexpensive.

Compatible with Mac and Windows, the 5110 uses a USB 2.0 connection and has a maximum monthly duty cycle of 3,000 pages. It can copy up to 99 copies from the original, and using the intelligent one-touch keypad, it can fax and copy without the need of a PC. The HP 5110 has a transmission rate of 33.6 Kbps as well as 70 speed dial options and a memory that holds up to 70 pages. The scanner holds a 24-bit color depth and produces at a resolution of 600x1200 dpi.

HP's enhanced color layering technology distributes the HP 5110 ink in thousands of tiny drops per inch, creating vibrant and precise colors. Regardless of the lagging output speed, this is a solid inkjet unit that would work in any small business.
