The HP Deskjet 460 ink printer has a duty cycle of 500 pages. Maximum print resolutions possible with the HP 460 ink cartridges is 1200 dpi x 1200 dpi for monochrome and 4800 dpi x 1200 dpi for color prints. The printer is rated for 17 ppm for monochrome and 16 ppm for color prints. You can also avail borderless prints on 4 x 6 in photos. The maximum media size you can print on is 8.5 in x 14 in. The inkjet device uses the 94 Black and 95 Tricolor HP 460 ink cartridges.

The 460wbt, which is a higher-end model and costs $350, can be run on battery and also features Bluetooth capability. Another model, the 460wf, which costs the same, comes with a Wi-Fi adapter. Other similar models include the Deskjet 460c and the Deskjet 460cb. Connecting via Bluetooth is usually easier with the Deskjet 460 ink printer as compared to networking via Wi-Fi. However, the Bluetooth connectivity has a range of only 30 feet. The Wi-Fi option has a greater range and the buyer can toggle between three Wi-Fi networks. This PC and Mac compatible machine supports a range of media including cards, labels, bond paper, matte paper, photo paper, glossy paper, plain paper, recycled paper and transparencies using HP 460 ink cartridges. The card readers on the HP 460 ink printer support MultiMediaCard, SD Memory Card and CompactFlash Card type I.

The HP Deskjet 460 ink printer device excels on text prints, which is what a businessperson would primarily look for. It is good enough for the occasional photo print. PictBridge compatibility is another neat feature which this compact printer possesses. The inkjet printer speeds are slower than what the buyer can get with similar models from other manufacturers.
