The HP OfficeJet 4357 All-in-One inkjet printer can handle faxing, scanning, copying, and printing, but its compact design doesn't require too much space. This makes it an excellent model for personal users in tight quarters. It can print at up to 30 pages per minute in black and 24 pages per minute in color, and prices for HP 4357 printer ink are very reasonable.

Unlike some all-in-one machines that can be fairly bulky, the 4357 has a very compact frame, measuring 13x16.4x8 inches, with a weight of only 12 pounds. There are a few tradeoffs, however. It lacks a flatbed scanner, with only a document feeder available for scanning operations, and its input paper capacity is limited to 100 sheets. 16 MB of RAM is included, which could be a bit limiting at higher printing volumes. The maximum resolution is 4800 optimized dpi when using color HP 4357 ink.

The fax feature is one of the highlights of the machine, and it even includes a telephone handset. Copying and faxing both work well in standalone mode, without the need for a computer connection. A USB port is included for connection to a PC, and the device can support both Windows and Mac computers for excellent cross-platform compatibility.

Printer ink costs won't break the bank, as OfficeJet 4357 ink cartridges tend to be quite affordable. One of the major benefits the unit's all-in-one device is that it uses the OfficeJet 4357 ink for all of its functions, keeping costs low. Users can save even more by using compatible HP 4357 ink cartridges as an alternative to expensive OEM versions.

This compact and affordable color inkjet provides a lot of functionality and solid speeds. With excellent fax features and good output quality, it is a great value for the price.
