HP 4350 Printer Review

The HP LaserJet 4350 is a monochrome laser printer designed for the medium or large office environment. It is one of the fastest printers on the market, but its speed has a price, in both cost and in bulk. Print sizes are limited to legal-size or smaller.

Many offices do not have the number of employees or budget to warrant a printer as expensive or as large as the HP 4350, but for those who do, it may be an excellent choice. The HP 4350 has the capacity and speed to keep up with even the largest office environments, and it doesn't suffer in quality, either. It is a rather bulky machine, measuring 19.6 inches by 16.5 inches by 21 inches (HWD) and weighing 65.5 pounds, but still manages to be more compact than some competing products, and offers more speed. Adding more paper trays increases its size, but it is quite a feat that paper capacity can be increased from its initial 600 sheets to 3,100 sheets. The printer is limited to legal-size media or smaller, so users who need tabloid size or other larger media will need to look elsewhere.

HP LaserJet 4350 toner cartridges, in a way, are able to be expanded to match the environment it's in. Standard HP 4350 toner cartridges have a large capacity of 10,000 pages. For the busy, large offices, high yield HP 4350 toner cartridges are also available with a huge capacity of 20,000 pages. With such large page yields, the HP LaserJet 4350 toner cartridges will not have to be replaced to often.

Setting up the HP LaserJet 4350 is drop-dead simple. Simply install the toner cartridge and run the setup software. If using the "n" models of the printer, which include networking, the machine handles nearly the entire network setup process automatically, and will be up and running as a network printer in no time.

Printing speed is where the HP 4350 really shines. It has a printing engine capable of 55 pages per minute, making it one of the fastest printers on the market. Print quality is generally excellent. Text is clear and sharp. Graphics, however, are a bit below average. Users who tend to print a lot of graphics may find its graphic quality disappointing.

Overall, the HP LaserJet 4350 is a great choice for the large office. Its speeds will keep things moving in the office, and its large and expandable paper capacities mean less reloading of paper.
