The HP Deskjet 3650 ink printer is a solid printing machine that is good value for money. The text print quality is good and the printer is suited for home use or by an SMB that can do with a reliable printing machine. This Deskjet 3650, which uses thermal inkjet printing technology, measures 19.4 x 8.1 x 5.7 in and weighs only 5.1 lbs.

The HP 3650 ink cartridge printer prints at a maximum speed of up to 17 ppm for monochrome and up to 14 ppm for color prints. It offers a maximum print resolution of 1200 dpi x 1200 dpi for monochrome and 4800 dpi x 1200 dpi for color prints. The machine offers wired connectivity via USB. The printer is fitted with a single input tray that can hold up to 100 legal-sized sheets at a time. The HP 3650 inkjet cartridge makes use of two ink cartridges – the HP 27 Black with a page yield of 220 pages and the HP 28 Tricolor cartridge with a page yield of 190 pages. The machine also offers optional 6-color printing.

The trays can be folded; this not only saves space but also makes it convenient to move this lightweight printing machine from one place to another. The print cancel button on the dashboard is a handy ink and paper saver; it saves you from going into the control panel for canceling a print job. The Deskjet 3650 does not contain any slots for external memory devices.

The HP Deskjet 3650 inkjet printer has a monthly duty cycle of 1000 sheets. It is PC and Mac-compatible. The machine can handle an impressive range of media in a variety of weights and sizes; it can work with plain paper, photo paper, envelopes, transparencies, cards, etc. You can avail borderless printing; two-sided printing has to be done manually. Overall, a good machine for personal use though operating costs would depend upon the frequency of your print requirements.
