As another member of the personal and small office line of desktop inkjet printers, the HP Deskjet 3620v continues the tradition of low-cost machines with impressive features. Usually found with more expensive models, the reasonably fast print speeds of 15 pages per minute for laser-quality black printer ink and 10 pages per minute for color HP 3620v ink will take care of individual user needs at home or the office. With a price point of under $100 and low costing Deskjet 3620v ink, this machine is well within the budget for most users. A nice feature is the ability to print two-sided documents with the included software.

A simple USB connection gets the unit going with ease. All Mac users will have no problem, and Windows 98 is the minimum PC requirement to get started. Almost all media in letter and legal standard sizes as well as t-shirt transfers are available with this inkjet unit. Photo capability is also built into this setup, and software is included to assist with photo printing. This model consists of two versions—the HP 3620v which is targeted for the North American market and the HP 3620 is for outside the United States. The compact size measuring 16.9x8.1x5.6 inches and weighing 5 pounds is optimal for smaller spaces.

Printer ink supplies are the common black HP 3620v ink cartridge and the color Deskjet 3620v ink cartridge. This 6-color photo tank produces great color prints at up to 4800x12000 dpi resolution. When optimum printing is not necessary, this machine offers a lower resolution setting to conserve ink. The black HP 3620v ink has a page yield of 280 pages, and the color has a yield of 240 pages.
