HP 3520 e-All-in-One Printer Review

Despite its long name, the HP Deskjet 3520 e-All-in-One is actually a fairly simple inkjet printer, copier, and scanner that is easy to operate. Its rated speeds are up to 23 pages per minute for black, but higher settings will be slower. OEM HP 3520 e-All-in-One printer ink can be a little expensive, but remanufactured options are available.

The 3520 e-All-in-One is certainly built for small spaces, with dimensions of only 5.7x17.32x14.37 inches and a weight of 11.02 pounds that doesn't include the Deskjet 3520 e-All-in-One printer ink supplies. There are a few sacrifices made, however, including the lack of an automatic document feeder, though most home users won't mind, especially considering its low price. The lack of faxing is also not surprising at this price point.

Wireless support is built right in, and can even be turned off with the press of a button on the control panel, which is a nice safety feature. The 2-inch LCD screen is monochrome, so users can't expect full-color image previews, but it does an adequate job of showing menus and options. The inclusion of HP ePrint for printing by email and AirPrint for Apple devices is a nice bonus, especially for the price.

The cost of replacing the four separate HP 3520 e-All-in-One ink cartridges can add up, especially when choosing the high-capacity supplies. Using remanufactured Deskjet 3520 e-All-in-One ink cartridges, on the other hand, can reduce the costs to around 1/4 those of OEM, making the cost per page for HP 3520 e-All-in-One ink very affordable for an inkjet model.

The HP 3520 e-All-in-One probably doesn't have quite enough speed or capacity for a small office, but home users should be very pleased. The number of features available and the affordable operating costs make it a steal for such a low purchase price.
