HP 350 Printer Review

The HP OfficeJet 350 may not be the newest inkjet model on the market, but it still may be a good option for small offices looking to meet their exclusively black printing, faxing, scanning and copying needs. Costing around $600, it may seem a bit pricey, however, the low price of OfficeJet 350 ink make up for the high upfront price. The only real problem with this unit lies in its speed—it prints at a very slow 3 pages per minute. Depending on the demands of the office, this could be a poor option for many offices with high printing needs.

A more advanced version of the HP 300 and 330 models, the OfficeJet 350 contains an automatic document feeder, large fax memory and 60 number speed dialing, among other things. Most paper sizes are supported by this unit including letter, legal, executive, envelope, transparency and European. Only Windows operating systems are compatible with this unit, making it obsolete to many businesses. For such an equipped machine, it is fairly petite, weighing less than 20 pounds and having dimensions of 17.25x15.5x11.25 inches.

Only one HP 350 ink cartridge is used with this product. Though it will be convenient having only one printer ink tank to worry about, this could mean replacing it more often than with a color inkjet printer. However, these OfficeJet 350 ink cartridges have a page yield of 790, meaning each one will last for quite awhile. The highest resolution that can be exerted from this HP 350 ink is 600x300, which is relatively low for all-in-one units. If printing strictly text, though, the resolution and quality of printer ink should not be a deal breaker.

Reviews for the HP 350 are fairly good. The high upfront price was the primary concern for many, but the low price and high consumption of HP 350 ink seem to make up for it. Most users appreciate the crisp quality of their black and white images as well as text.
