The HP Photosmart 3210 All-in-One (AIO) is a multifunction device that can print, scan, and copy. The machine features advanced recirculation ink technology which reduces the need for priming and wastage of ink. Print speeds of as less as 14 seconds for 4 x 6 color photos are coupled with excellent print quality. You get monochrome text at 32 ppm and color prints at 31 ppm. The copier is capable of size management from 25% to 400% of the original size. The scanning element is another strong suite of this machine; the scanning glass has room for multiple photos and the built-in transparent materials adapter can hold up to four slides or six negatives at a time. This HP Photosmart 3210 ink printer is best suited for a home-user or small business owner that operates in a networked environment. The HP 3210v is identical to this printer and it enables you to view, edit, and share videos as well.

The HP 3210 has the following dimensions 18.3 (W) x 15.6 (D) x 8.7 (H) and it weighs 26.2 lbs. The copier gives resolutions of up to up to 600 x 1200 dpi for monochrome pages; the maximum print resolution is up to 1200 dpi for mono and up to 4800 x 1200 dpi for color prints. The HP 3210 ink cartridge AIO printer is available for under $500 and makes for interesting comparison with the HP Photosmart C309a, which costs less but offers features such as fax and more compatibility with various media types; however the HP 3210 inkjet cartridge printer scores in terms of workload, it has a maximum duty cycle of 3000 pages. Media types supported include cards, labels, envelopes, photo paper, plain paper, transparencies, and iron-on transfers. The printer is available with six HP 363 individual ink cartridges, of which five are color inkjet cartridges and one is a black ink cartridge which yields 410 standard-sized pages. The Photosmart 3210 can be connected to a PC and a USB port will let you connect to devices such as cameras and memory sticks. This device also supports ethernet connectivity for a networked environment. An optional HP Bluetooth Wireless Printer Adaptor will let you access the machine wirelessly without powering on the PC. You can view images and also the edits that you make on the 2.5-inch monitor. PictBridge and HP Image Zone are useful software additions to the product. The 3210 is compatible with both Windows OS and Mac OS; however, the printer has compatibility issues with Windows Vista.

The HP Photosmart 3210 inkjet All-in-One printer has the resources to manage up to five users in a network. Because the machine uses dye-based inks, the photos are less light and water resistant as compared to other printers that use pigment-based inks. The paper tray could have been sturdier for an AIO in the $450 - $500 price range.

Overall, the HP Photosmart 3210 is well-suited for those that have a light-to-moderate photo and text printing workload and do not require the fax function.
