This video covers the remanufactured HP Q2612X toner cartridge, which replaces the OEM Q2612X cartridge.

The HP Q2612X toner cartridge is a high-capacity alternative to the Q2612A, offering up to 3,000 pages, and is only a bit more expensive, reducing the overall cost per page.

To prepare the Q2612X toner cartridge for installation, you should first remove it from the box and discard the shipping materials and the bag. Be careful to avoid touching the green strip on the rear of the cartridge, to avoid damaging it.

It is a good idea to roll the HP Q2612X toner back and forth many times before you remove the packing strip, as this will evenly distribute the toner powder. Hook one finger in the packing strip loop. Then pull it straight out until it is completely removed and discard it.

You may need to open the top paper tray on your printer to access the lid. Then simply lift up the lid to access the empty toner cartridge. Grab the cartridge’s handle and pull it up and out.

Slide your new HP Q2612X toner cartridge into the opening with the handle facing upward, and press gently but firmly until it slides into place. Close the printer’s lid and you will be ready to start printing.

The HP Q2612X toner cartridge is compatible with multifunction models like the M1319 and M1005, as well as multifunction models from the 3015 to the 3055. It also supports popular compact models from the LaserJet 1010 to the LaserJet 1022.
