The HP LaserJet 1160 laser printer is designed for the personal home or small office user. It has better print quality than competing models, but it also has a higher price and slower printing speeds. If faster printing and color output is required, the LaserJet 2500 toner printer should be considered.

The HP 1160 laser printer is a very compact machine. The unit measures 10 inches by 13.8 inches by 14 inches, and weighs only 25 pounds. This allows it to fit in small spaces, and is very easily movable by one or two people. Paper capacity is decent, though a few personal lasers offer more. The 1160 can hold a maximum of 250 sheets in its single tray.
