When it comes to single-purpose inkjet printers for home offices, the Deskjet 1000c is as good of an option as any. It is extremely affordable and reliable and has the capacity to print up to 1,000 pages per month. This unit would be perfect for young families with a lot of digital pictures to print or for college students looking for a solid printer for school work. Offices would be wasting time and money on the 1000c and would probably reduce efficiency rather than increase it.

It does have the ability to print wide-format documents and can print on various kinds of paper such as transparencies, envelopes, index cards and photo paper. There is a built-in 512 KB RAM for more storage space. It also features two-sided printing, meaning users will easily be able to make their own greeting cards or wedding invitations.

The two HP 1000c ink cartridges are black and tricolor, which consists of cyan, magenta and yellow printer ink. The black Deskjet 1000c ink is dispensed through 300 nozzles, while the colors each are accompanied by 64 nozzles. This is known as drop-on-demand technology, which layers tiny dots of HP 1000c ink to improve the quality and make prints more clear and realistic.

The black Deskjet 1000c ink cartridge has a page yield of 830 pages and can produce up to 6 pages per minute. The color printer ink tank yields 460 pages and can print 3.5 pages in a minute. All of the HP 1000c ink can reach a maximum resolution of 600x600 dpi, which is good enough for most tasks.

The one downside to this inkjet device is its rather large footprint. It measures 22.8x8.8x15 inches and weighs just over 20 pounds. But once it has been put in place, the HP 1000c will be a great addition to any home.
