Epson WF-7610 Printer Review

The Epson WorkForce WF-7610 All-in-One combines wide-format inkjet printing with scanning, copying, and faxing at a price that is hard to believe. Its ISO print speeds of 18 pages per minute for black and 10 pages per minute for color are impressive, and it even includes an ADF. The cost of Epson WF-7610 printer ink supplies is reasonable, and they offer decent yields as well.

One of the headline features of the WF-7610 is that is can print borderless images up to 13x19 inches in size. This is impressive for such a compact machine, and it can also scan media up to 11x17 inches in size. With only one input paper tray, however, users will need to empty it whenever they are switching media type or sizes. The tray can hold up to 250 sheets of plain paper, and up to 20 sheets of photo paper.

For a home machine, the WF-7610 may seem a little on the bulky side, but it is compact given all of its features. It measures 13.4x22.3x19.1 inches, and it weighs just over 40 pounds with the four WorkForce WF-7610 printer ink supplies in place. It supports wired and wireless networking, and also supports mobile printing through Google Cloud Print, Apple AirPrint, and Epson's own specialized apps. Users can even store their scanned files directly to a mobile device.

The inkjet system uses four Epson WF-7610 ink cartridges of black, cyan, magenta, and yellow. Each of the color WorkForce WF-7610 ink cartridges has a yield of 350 pages, while the black supply has a yield of 300 pages. With larger capacities than many competing models, this gives Epson WF-7610 ink the advantage when it comes to cost per page.

The WF-7610 will probably appeal most to those who need its wide-format printing capabilities, but it works well as a well-rounded all-in-one device in a home or very small office as well. With so much under the hood, it is an excellent value.
