Epson WF-7110 Printer Review

The Epson WorkForce WF-7110 is just about as powerful and flexible as a home office inkjet machine can be. It supports media up to 13x19 inches in size, and has a roomy paper capacity. With ISO speeds of up to 10 pages per minute for color and 18 pages per minute for black, it is no slouch on performance, and the cost of Epson WF-7110 printer ink is very reasonable.

The WF-7110 has a little less of a control panel than the multifunction models in its lineup, but it still gets the job done, and helps keep the price down, though some might be disappointed in its lack of color. Not only do buyers have their choice of a USB 2.0 or wired ethernet connection, but it also supports wireless networking. Smartphone and tablet users will be glad to know that the unit supports mobile printing through Epson's own mobile apps, or through Google Cloud Print and Apple AirPrint.

For an inkjet printer that doesn't have multifunction capabilities, the WF-7110 is still a little large, measuring 12x22.3x16.7 inches, and it weighs 32.8 pounds with the WorkForce WF-7110 printer ink installed. Still, with a paper capacity of 500 sheets and options like automatic duplexing, it is worth the extra bulk.

The system uses four Epson WF-7110 ink cartridges: cyan, magenta, yellow, and black. With yields of around 300 pages for color WorkForce WF-7110 ink cartridges and 50 pages more for the black supply; the cost per page is decent. Third-party Epson WF-7110 ink is a bit more difficult to find than other models, but OEM prices are reasonable.

With everything from mobile printing to duplexing and wide-format printing, there seems to be very little the WF-7110 can't handle. The simple control panel may disappoint a few potential buyers, but its wide variety of connection options and solid performance make it an excellent value at such a low price.
