Epson WF-3530 Printer Review

The Epson WorkForce WF-3530 combines reliable all-in-one inkjet functions with newer wireless sharing technologies, and the result is impressive. It can print at ISO speeds of up to 15 pages per minute black and 9.3 pages per minute color, and supports double-sided printing right out of the box. Multiple capacities of Epson WF-3530 printer ink supplies also keep things affordable.

The WF-3530 can print, copy, fax, and scan, with many of these functions available even without a PC connected to it. A front-mounted PictBridge USB port and memory card slots can not only transfer photos for printing but also store scanned documents on a flash drive. For the easiest solution, however, scans can be sent directly to an email address as an attachment.

With smartphones, tablets, and other mobile devices becoming increasingly popular, support for AirPrint, Google Cloud Print, and Epson Connect is a welcome addition. Both Wi-Fi support and an ethernet port are included, covering all of the networking bases, and a rear USB port is included as well.

The device might be a little large for some smaller offices, at a size of 12.1x17.7x22.2 inches, and with a weight of 24 pounds that includes the WorkForce WF-3530 printer ink supplies. Two input paper trays of 250 sheets each are a nice upgrade from the average inkjet device, however.

With both high-capacity and extra high-capacity Epson WF-3530 ink cartridges to choose from, buyers have their pick of a lower upfront cost or a lower cost per page. Although OEM prices are pretty affordable, many third-party vendors offer remanufactured WorkForce WF-3530 ink cartridges at much lower prices.

If the wireless printing services of the WF-3530 don't entice buyers, the extra paper capacity and solid all-in-one features probably will. The fact that it offers all of this in one affordable package with inexpensive Epson WF-3530 ink makes it one of the best values in its class.
