The Epson Stylus Photo RX500 is an all-in-one printer that uses quality dye-based photo printer ink to produce a minimum droplet size as small as 3 picoliters. This inkjet device has a 2-line monochrome LCD display that allows users to edit and print photos without a PC. Its scanner feature has an optical resolution of 2400 dpi using color Epson RX500 ink and a 48-bit depth. The RX500 also has a unique, built-in transparency feature that allows users to scan slides and transparencies.

This device's standalone copier can duplicate color, black-and-white, draft, photo and text documents. It can also make up to 99 duplicates from an original document. Using black Stylus Photo RX500 ink, this copier can turn out a maximum of 10 copies per minute. The RX500 can print up to 16 pages per minute using color printer ink and 17 pages per minute using black ink. Its scanner has a color line sensor Photoelectric Device, capable of producing results that mimic the quality of the original document.

This unit has the convenience of separate Epson RX500 ink cartridges that can be replaced individually as they expire. Its color tanks include cyan, magenta, yellow, light cyan and light magenta, and each one yields approximately 430 pages. Black Stylus Photo RX500 ink cartridges have a 650 page capacity.
