The Epson Stylus CX6400 is an all-in-one unit that offers users printing, scanning and copying functions at an affordable price. The CX6400 includes card slots for cameras and digital devices so users can produce photos without need of a computer. Also, its standalone color copy function allows users to make quality copies without a PC connection. This printer can scan photos, graphics and text with a good resolution of 1200 dpi using color Epson CX6400 ink. Due to a small monthly duty cycle, this inkjet unit can only produce low volume output rates.

Epson CX6400 ink cartridges come in four separate tanks of black, cyan, magenta and yellow ink. High capacity black tanks have a decent yield of 1,240 pages. Color Stylus CX6400 ink cartridges are available in only standard capacity and yield roughly 380 pages. Higher capacity black tanks will last longer and help save users money when replacing printer ink. However, the CX6400's low yielding color tanks can become a costly expense for consumers.

The CX6400's copier can produce up to 16 duplicates per minute and a maximum of 99 copies from an original document. A 4X6 inch photo takes approximately one minute to print. Black Stylus CX6400 ink can print up to 22 pages per minute. Using color printer ink, this device produces slower speeds of only 11 pages per minute.
