It can print at up to 16 pages per minute in black and 11 pages per minute for color, at ISO-rated speeds. It also adds extra features like wireless support to make it more convenient to modern homes and offices, and savings on printer ink could be substantial compared to older models.

Like other models in its lineup, the 4533 is a bit on the large and bulky side, particularly for a model aimed at home and small office buyers, so this is something to take into consideration before purchasing. Scanning is very convenient, and solves the problem of what to do with scanned documents by providing a USB port for thumb drives and other external storage. Documents can also be sent over the wired or wireless network. The Epson Connect feature will cater to mobile phone and tablet owners, by allowing users to print by sending a document as email attachment to a specific address.
