The Epson WorkForce 315 certainly isn't the fastest inkjet machine on the market, but it will be hard to find one that surpasses it in quality of results. Compatible with both Windows and Mac operating systems, buyers will find that setting the unit up is a synch. With a compact size of 18.1x21.3x11.9 inches, nearly any home or office space will find it easy to add, and the light weight of 16.8 pounds will make it easy to carry and move around when needed too. Able to copy, scan, print and fax, this petite machine makes itself a perfect fit for home users.

A color inkjet printer, this unit needs four Epson 315 ink cartridges to operate properly. The WorkForce 315 ink cartridge is filled with cyan, magenta, yellow and black printer ink. Each of the color ink tanks will last 350 pages, while the black Epson 315 ink will last about 245 pages.

Probably the best thing about this unit is the resolutions it is capable of producing. Resolutions as high as 5760x1440 dpi can easily be reached using WorkForce 315 ink. That will leave documents looking sharp and professional, and each document will have vivid color and sharp tones too. When copying the same resolutions are possible, and scanning resolutions can hit 9600x9600 dpi. The copier offers the ability to create up to 99 copies from an original document and reduction and enlargement from 25-400%. Fit-to-page features and adjustable copy density settings are also included.

The one thing that may turn buyers away will probably be the unit's slow speeds. When printing using black Epson 315 ink, the quickest speed possible is only 16 pages per minute. Color prints, however, turn out at an even slower speed of only 5.5 pages per minute. For home users with little patience, there is probably a better suited unit out there.
