The Dell B1163w is pretty compact for a multifunction laser printer, and it can copy and scan as well. The purchase price is particularly appealing, and image quality is sharp, but lack of faxing could be an issue for some buyers, and Dell B1163w toner can be a bit expensive to replace.

The main connection option for the B1163w is wireless networking, but it actually lacks a wired network port. Buyers who are troubled by this might want to consider the B1163nfw model, which includes both a wired network port and faxing capabilities. The compromise will be worth it for most, however, as it results in a lower price.

Print speeds are fast, at around 21 pages per minute, especially for the price.
