New Compatible Canon PGI-225BK Ink Cartridge Instructional Video Transcript

The new compatible PGI-225BK ink cartridge is the larger black supply in a 5-cartridge system, and includes pigment-based ink for deeper blacks. This makes it essential for high-quality photos, and it is rated for up to 340 pages of output, based on 5% page coverage.

Prepare your replacement PGI-225BK cartridge by taking it out of the box and carefully opening and removing the plastic bag. Find the shipping tape at the top of the cartridge and pull it away from the cartridge to remove it completely. Note that you will need to pry the small handle away from the orange plastic protector as well before you can install the cartridge.

Return to the printer and make sure it is powered on and that the paper tray is open. Place a hand inside the paper tray opening and lift up on the printer’s top cover. The cover will stay open by itself, and the carriage containing the cartridges will move to the center. Find the cartridge marked “PGBK” and note that it is the larger of the two black cartridges. Bend its small handle backward to release it. You can then lift the cartridge out.

Install the new compatible PGI-225BK cartridge by sliding it into the opening with the front at a downward angle. You can then press on the top of the cartridge until it is seated firmly and clicks into place. Lower the printer’s top cover slowly and you are ready to resume printing.

The PGI-225BK cartridge is compatible with several Canon models, starting with photo inkjet models like the iP4820 and iP4920 series. It is also used in the iX6520 and iX6550 inkjet printer models. Conveniently, the cartridge works with all-in-one models as well, such as the MG5120 through MG8220 series, and the MX712 through MX892 series.

You can't tell the difference between this ink cartridge and the name brand Canon except for the price. The print quality is identical and so is the ink quantity. This is by far the most economical way to buy ink.

If there is a confirmed print quality issue, only 1 set of opened products will be accepted for credit returns, and only if less than 30% of the ink or toner has been used.

Ink Technologies will replace defective compatible or remanufactured products free of charge if the products are returned within 1 year of the original ship date, and provide a return shipping tag for return of the product.
