The Canon PC550 laser copier is designed for the home or small office user. It is a light-weight and portable personal copy machine that can make reasonably fast copies practically anywhere. Slow speeds and limited features may disappoint users expecting a full-featured machine. If simple printing is needed without all the features, try something a little simpler, like the Dell 3016 and its needed Dell 341-3568 toner.

The Canon PC550 laser copier is a bit of a rarity in the business world: a portable, personal laser copy machine. Weighing under 20 pounds, it resembles a large dedicated scanner, but its input and output paper trays stick out of either side of the unit. These trays fold up to make the unit more portable, and a pop-out handle makes it even easier to transport.

For all of its portability, however, there are tradeoffs. The unit does not have the advanced features of a larger machine, and its paper capacity is only 50 sheets. Users buying the unit for its portability will probably understand the tradeoff for speed, however. Copy quality is generally good, and both automatic and manual exposure settings help users get the best quality copies possible. For better quality, try a model that uses Dell 310-9064 toner.

Overall, the Canon PC550 has the portability to follow users practically anywhere, but its slow speeds and lack of features make it a poor choice for a personal office copier.
