Canon NP6030 Printer Review
While large offices should be pleased with the performance of the Canon NP6030 laser copier, those in smaller spaces might find its bulky design hard to manage. Its output speed can reach up to 30 copies per minute, though it suffers from long warm-up times. It is a very economical device, however, using inexpensive Canon NP6030 printer toner that will reduce operating costs.
As mentioned, the NP6030 sports a large design that takes up a fair amount of space, though its front-loading paper trays help to minimize its footprint somewhat. It can also be upgraded to a maximum input paper capacity of 2,550 sheets, though this requires an optional paper deck pedestal that also adds a little more bulk. The other major downside is that it requires around 6 minutes to warm-up.
The machine has a maximum resolution of 600x600 dpi that will result in fairly sharp images, and it can handle reduction and enlargement from 49 to 204% with multiple presets for common sizes. It can handle paper sizes up to 11x17 inches, and many types of media that include transparencies, tracing paper, and more. The automatic document feeder can handle duplexing for two-sided copying, which save a lot of time, and even paper, while a Toner Save mode helps conserve Canon NP6030 toner as well.
Speaking of the Canon NP6030 toner cartridges, they are quite inexpensive to replace, especially for such large capacities. Each Canon NP6030 toner cartridge can provide around 10,000 pages, and possibly more when using the Toner Save mode, which makes replacing toners a much less common occurrence.
Despite its large size and slow warm-up times, the Canon NP6030 offers both solid speeds and large capacities. As these are two of the most important qualities for a busy, large office environment, it will make an excellent choice.
