When users at home are looking for a simple multi-function inkjet printer that connects via USB port, the Canon MX360 may be a good option. Though this machine does lack wireless and ethernet connections, it does have the ability to print, scan, copy and send faxes. Most home office needs should be completely satisfied by the MX360. Wireless and ethernet hookups are really only necessary in an office with various users. The PictBridge connection also allows home users to connect a digital camera directly to the printer and produce professional level quality color photos without the need of a PC.
For less than $80, this all-in-one inkjet printer will fit comfortably in any budget. There are only two Canon MX360 ink cartridges that are used during operation. One holds only black printer ink, while the other consists of cyan, magenta and yellow. Both of these have page yields that are less than 250 pages. There are options that provide a lower cost per page, though. High capacity Canon MX360 ink cartridges have the capacity to print 350 pages and 400 pages for color and black, respectively.
This machine comes equipped with an automatic document feeder, which provides added convenience for simple users. Rather than hand-feeding fresh pages into the MX360, a tray will automatically push sheets through to be printed on, and the convenient output tray will catch the final products. Of course, this is standard in current models on the market, but the convenience is not appreciated until it is missed.
Remanufactured Canon MX360 ink is available from third party vendors. This type of printer ink will provide the same performance as the OEM ink, but costs only a small portion of the retail price. Remanufactured ink can be found from certified third party vendors that do almost all business via online stores.

Canon PIXMA MX360 Instructional Video Transcript
The Canon PIXMA MX360 is a true multifunction inkjet printer, with scanning, copying, and faxing functions, but is still priced well below $100. It connects directly to a computer via USB, and has photo-centric features such as a PictBridge camera port, but no memory card slots.
Although the model shown here differs in appearance, the cartridge replacement process is the same.
Make sure the printer is powered on and open the paper tray if necessary, then lift up from the opening in the paper tray to raise the top of the printer upward. Notice that a plastic lever slides forward and keeps the top portion safely in place.
With the top of the printer open, the carriage containing the Canon MX360 ink cartridges will move toward the center for easy access. Depending on which cartridge is empty, you will want to open either the B cover for black or the C cover for color. Pinch the handles together and lift the lid upward, then grab the cartridge and remove it.
Open the box for the new PIXMA MX360 ink cartridge, then carefully open and remove the plastic bag. If the cartridge has a tape strip, pull to remove it. If the cartridge has a plastic cover, pinch the top and bottom handles toward each other to gently pry it off.
Take the new Canon MX360 cartridge and lower it into the opening until it seats itself at the bottom, then lower the small cover into place until you feel it snap.
The printer’s top can be closed by lifting it just a bit, then pressing the blue lever toward the back with your hand while you lower the top down slowly.
You are now ready to resume printing with your Canon PIXMA MX360 printer.
