Available at a very low price, the Canon PIXMA MX330 can print copy, scan, and even send and receive faxes. It includes a 1.8-inch LCD screen for menu navigation, and an automatic document feeder that will scan up to 30 pages at a time fairly quickly. It is rated for a maximum ESAT speed of up to 7.5 pages per minute, and can produce a borderless 4x6-inch photo in around 45 seconds.
Although the model shown differs slightly in appearance, the replacement process is the same.
Place your hand inside the opening of the paper tray and lift upward for access to the cartridges. Note that this is different than opening the scanning lid. A blue prop lever will slide out to hold the top of the printer in place.
When the carrier slides into place, you will see two cartridge covers: one with a B for black and one with a C for color. Grab the handles and pinch them together to unsnap the cover and lift it upward. You can then grab the PIXMA MX330 ink cartridge by the small handle to pull it out.
Before you install the new Canon MX330 ink cartridge, you must remove it from the box and carefully remove the bag. If your cartridge comes with a plastic protector, pinch the top and bottom handles with two fingers to remove it. If it comes with a small tape strip, simply pull to remove it.
Place your new PIXMA MX330 cartridge into the open carrier slot, then lower the small cover and snap it into place, making sure it is level and properly aligned.
To close the lid you must lift it slightly and press the prop lever to fold it backward. Then slowly lower the top of the printer back down.
You are now ready to resume printing with your Canon PIXMA MX330 printer.
