The Canon MP470 is a compact and stylish all-in-one inkjet unit that is suitable for homes or low volume small businesses. It offers a scanner, copier and a color photo printer. It can print as fast as 2.7 seconds per page in black Pixma MP470 ink and a page every 3.5 seconds in color. It is also capable of producing a high quality 4"x6" color photo in under 50 seconds. It makes copies at approximately the same rate.

The Canon MP470 weighs nearly 13 pounds and has dimensions of 17.7"x13.9"x6.7". It is fairly compact and fits nicely on any desk or small table. There are USB ports and memory card slots for direct connection to cameras, phones and Bluetooth. The 1.8" color LCD that flips up on the top of the MP470 allows consumers to view images and enhance them without using a PC.

When combining specialized Canon paper with Canon MP470 ink, the lab quality photos can last up to 100 years. Using the innovative nozzle print head technology (FINE) that is found in most inkjet printers made by this manufacturer, small droplets are extracted from the Pixma MP470 ink cartridges. There are only 2 tanks found in this unit—a solid black and a tri-color printer ink. The tri-color Canon MP470 ink cartridge contains cyan, magenta and yellow.

For under $100, the Canon MP470 is hands down the best deal. It prints faster and with higher quality than any multi-purpose inkjet printer in the same price range. Consumers and experts both rank this at the top of its class and highly recommend it for personal use or light office work. The only issue is that replacing Canon MP470 ink can get a little expensive. However, for the quality of the results it is worth every penny spent on printer ink.
