The Canon Multipass MP370 is a stylish multi-functioning unit targeted for homes and small, low volume offices. It consists of a high resolution scanner, copier and color photo printer. The MP370 can print 4"x6" color pictures in approximately 93 seconds. It can also produce up to 18 pages per minute in black Canon MP370 ink and up to 12 pages per minute in color. The same output rate applies to the copy machine.

The HI speed USB 2.0 in the Multipass MP370 helps increase the speed of image transfers, and the 48 bit color provides scans at a resolution of 9600dpi. Color images using Canon MP370 ink have a maximum resolution of 4800x1200 dpi and standard text is 600x600dpi. The term ‘dpi' refers to the droplets of printer ink per inch used to form the picture or text. Canon inkjet printers have a revolutionary system known as MicroFine Droplet Technology, which dispenses tiny drops of Multipass MP370 ink over every inch of the page.

The Canon MP370 ink cartridges are relatively cheap, costing only $8.00 for black and $22 for color. Each Multipass MP370 ink cartridge has a page yield of approximately 150, which is on the lower end. But for small volume users, the price is not bad for replacements.

The Canon Multipass MP370 has connection options for digital cameras and memory card designed to eliminate the need for a PC. It can print on almost every size paper and offers Easy-PhotoPrint software for simple adjustments and enhancements. However, it lacks an automatic document feeder and faxing capabilities, which would cause most businesses to choose a different inkjet unit.
