The Canon PIXMA MP250 can handle everything from printing and copying to high-quality scanning, but still comes in a very compact design. It features automatic duplexing for two-sided prints, and the Auto Photo Fix feature can improve photos quickly before printing.
Although the model shown differs slightly in color, the replacement steps are the same.
Make sure your printer is on, then open the paper tray. Place your hand in the paper tray opening and start to lift up the top cover of the machine. A plastic lever will fold out to hold it in place.
Once the Canon MP250 cartridge carrier moves to the center, you will see a C for the color cartridge and a B for black. Open the cover for the cartridge you need to replace by pinching the two handles together and lifting the cover out of the way. Grip the handle of the cartridge itself and lift it out.
Open up the new PIXMA MP250 ink cartridge and remove it from the box, then remove it from its plastic bag. Some cartridges come with a small tape strip that you need to pull off, while others come with a larger plastic protector, which you can remove by pinching the top and bottom handles together.
Place your new Canon MP250 cartridge into the opening and make sure it settles at the bottom. Lower the cover into place until it snaps closed.
Close the top cover by lifting it an inch or so, then folding the lever backward, noticing that it folds closed as you lower the top cover down slowly.
You are now ready to resume printing with your Canon PIXMA MP250 printer.
