The Canon PIXMA MG6220 is a multifunction color inkjet printer with scanning and copying capabilities. It has a compact design that is well-suited to the home or small office environment and its photo printing and scanning quality is impressive. Print speed is reasonably fast, at up to 12 pages per minute, and a 4x6 photo prints in around 20 seconds. Printer ink costs are economical, thanks to the low price of Canon MG6220 ink.

The MG6220 measures 14.5 inches by 18.5 inches by 6.9 inches and weighs 20.1 pounds. This makes it slightly smaller but a little heavier than previous versions. Improvements from previous versions include a wired ethernet port and support for wireless networking, allowing the device to be shared among multiple users in a home or office. The full-color LED display on the front panel supports touch-based input, making it very intuitive to use, and users can make simple edits to photos right on the screen before printing.

High-capacity Canon MG6220 toner cartridges help to alleviate some of the high printer ink prices normally associated with inkjet models. Using compatible PIXMA MG6220 toner cartridges instead of the OEM versions will save even more. Using the toner save mode will get more out of the Canon MG6220 ink without sacrificing print quality.

The PIXMA MG6220 is a wireless inkjet photo printer with scanning and copying capabilities. It supports automatic duplexing for two-sided prints, and can create borderless photos at sizes up to 8.5x11 inches. It also supports wireless protocols such as Apple AirPrint for easy printing from mobile devices.

Make sure your printer is turned on, then open the front paper tray by lowering it down. Lift up on the front cover to access the cartridges, and wait a few seconds for the carriage to move to the center automatically.

Find the Canon MG6220 ink cartridge that is empty by looking for a flashing light, then press backward on the small lever until the cartridge comes loose. Lift up the cartridge and remove it from the printer.

Take the replacement PIXMA MG6220 ink cartridge out of the box and carefully open and remove the bag. Find the tape strip at the top and pull to remove it. You must also pry the cartridge away from the orange plastic protector before installation. Simply press the small lever away from the protector.

Insert the MG6220 cartridge into the printer with its front at a slight downward angle. Press on the top of the cartridge to lock it down into place until you feel the lever snap closed. Lower the top cover down slowly.

You are now ready to resume printing with your Canon PIXMA MG6220 printer.
