The Canon PIXMA MG3122 all-in-one inkjet printer adds a few upgrades over lower models, such as wireless support, while still maintaining a very affordable purchase price. Print speeds could be faster, at only 9.2 images per minute in black and 5 images per minute in color (ESAT), and the first page out time of 20 seconds means a fair amount of waiting. Users may also find the cost of Canon MG3122 printer ink negates some of the upfront savings.

The MG3122 has an eye-catching glossy black design with a very modern look, but it is fairly simple beyond appearances. Instead of a full-color screen, for example, users get only a few buttons and a small number display. This was a sacrifice for such a low price, no doubt, but it means users will have to rely heavily on the computer for most features. The unit measures a compact 6x17.7x12 inches, however, and weighs only 12.1 pounds before the Canon MG3122 ink is installed.
