Canon MG3120 Printer Review

The best part about having a personal printer that can handle a variety of tasks and produce exceptional photos is not spending money for a professional service. The Canon PIXMA MG3120 is a compact all-in-one inkjet printer that uses high-grade printer ink and specialty paper to print pictures that look like they came from a lab. In addition, the machine can be used as a photocopier and digital scanner. Versatile and affordable with a sleek, shiny frame designed to mesh with any home décor, the MG3120 is at the top of the game.

It is hard to believe that only two Canon MG3120 ink cartridges are used to produce such vivid and true-to-life photos. Cyan, magenta and yellow printer ink is held in one and black PIXMA MG3120 ink is held in the other. About 1,800 nozzles are built onto the print heads and are used in the FINE printing technology designed by Canon. The nozzles eject small dots of Canon MG3120 ink that layer every inch of paper, forming precise lines and bright colors. The only downside to photo printing is burning through the printer ink, which is easy as the tricolor PIXMA MG3120 ink cartridge only produces 400 prints and the black can yield only 300 pages.

When using only the black Canon MG3120 ink, up to 9 pages per minute can be printed at a maximum resolution of 600x600 dpi. Full color documents can print at an average of 5 pages per minute and 4x6" pictures can print in about 45 seconds, both at a high resolution of 4800x1200 dpi.

The scanner can accurately duplicate images with the 48-bit internal color depth and an interpolated resolution of 19200x19200 dpi, which also provides high-quality copies. A single PC can connect via high-speed USB port and all operating systems are compatible.
