Canon MF5750 Printer Review

The Canon MF5750 is a multifunction monochrome laser printer designed for the home or small office environment. It has excellent print quality and fast speeds, with a variety of well-designed functions. For color printing, consider a Oki C3400, which features Okidata 43459303 toner instead.

The MF5750 can print, scan, copy, and fax, and each function is robust and well-designed. The Canon MF5750 is designed more as a personal printer than an office printer, due to its lack of networking connectivity. It has USB 2.0 port for connecting to a computer. The imageClass MF5750 could certainly be shared among multiple users with the use of a print server or host computer, but some of its functions don't support its use on a network the way one would expect. Network scanning is not supported, for example.

The Canon MF5750 supports faxing and copying in standalone mode, without needing to be connected to a computer. PC faxing is also supported, allowing users to send a document directly from the PC to a fax number. This could be a very handy feature for clients who prefer to receive faxes instead of emails. The MF5750 supports Super G3 faxing transmission speeds up to 33.6 kbps.

The Canon MF5750 toner cartridges are part of Canon's single cartridge system. The toner and drum are both included in the single MF5750 toner cartridge. Each Canon MF5750 toner cartridge has a capacity of 2,500 pages, so users will not need to replace their MF5750 toner cartridge very often. The cost per page for this printer toner is much lower than Konica-Minolta A0V301F toner.

Print quality is very good. Text is sharp and defined, with readable characters even at small font sizes. Graphics prints are a little below average for a laser printer, but not bad for the price. Print speed is fast, at around 21 pages per minute, which is quite a bit faster than its competitor the Samsung 2510 that uses Samsung ML-2010D3 toner, and faxes and copies print at the same fast speed.

Overall, the Canon MF5750 is a good choice for users who want a single multifunction unit to handle most of their tasks. Users who need networking capability built in will want to look elsewhere.
