Canon LBP1110 Printer Review
Personal inkjet printers are some of the easiest printers to find on the market. The compatibility options, small size, light weight and affordable upfront price make them a great fit for home offices. Inkjet printers tend to lack one thing that laser printers offer—high yielding consumables. Toners offer high yields, unlike any other printing option out there. Buyers who would prefer a high yielding machine like this for personal use should consider using the Canon LBP-1110. This monochrome printer was built for those who want high quality prints but don't want to be forced to change printer toner all the time.
The unit only uses one black Canon LBP-1110 toner cartridge. This black printer toner lasts about 2,500 pages before needing replaced, which means average at-home users will need to replace their Canon LBP-1110 toner rarely. Using the toners, resolutions of up to 600x600 dpi have the ability to be reached. The speeds may be the only real problem, only being able to reach up to 10 pages per minute. Though most home users probably don't print that many pages at one time, for those that do, the speeds could become a problem.
Plain paper, postal card paper, transparencies, envelopes, labels and index cards are all supported by the LBP-1110, and sizes of media all the way up to 8.5x14 inches are supported. USB connection is the only type offered, and 512 MB of RAM is the maximum memory that can be stored. Sadly, only Windows operating systems are compatible.
For those who would love to own this unit, but who don't want to worry about the high costs of consumables, remanufactured Canon LBP-1110 toner cartridges are available from third party vendors. Generally these replacements cost only a fraction of the OEM price, making the Canon LBP-1110 an affordable option, no matter the budget available.
