Canon iPF785 Printer Review

With the ability to handle media up to 36 inches in width, the Canon imagePROGRAF iPF785 large-format inkjet printer is a great choice for CAD drawings, design schematics, and more. It can print an Arch D size print of 24x36 inches in around 21 seconds, and uses 5 separate Canon iPF785 printer ink supplies for better output quality. A built-in hard drive is included, and cloud support is bundled as well.

Connection options may not be quite as robust as some competing models, but the iPF785 includes the essentials, with a USB port and built-in ethernet support. Included with the device is access to Canon's Direct Print & Share service, which stores documents in the cloud for easy access from almost anywhere. The software also allows users to queue items for printing simply by adding them to configured "hot folders" on their computer.

Of course, users should expect a large machine for large-format printing, and the iPF785 weighs 150 pounds including the stand and imagePROGRAF iPF785 printer ink supplies. It measures 31x56x46 inches, so it will require a fair amount of space as well. The unit supports cut sheet media up to 63 inches and roll media up to 59 feet.
