The Canon imageCLASS C3500 is a compact multifunction color laser printer, but it can also expand to take on larger workloads. It has a maximum print speed of 21 pages per minute, which could be a little slow for a busy office, but its networking features are great for a shared environment. It also benefits from affordable Canon C3500 printer toner prices, though replacing all four supplies can mean a serious hit to the budget.

The C3500 is almost compact enough for personal use in the right situations, and it does include a USB port for a direct connection in addition to the ethernet port. The machine measures 26.9x25.3x22.2 inches, but its weight of 123 pounds might be a tough sell for individuals, even though this does include the weight of the imageCLASS C3500 toner supplies. An automatic document feeder is included for quick scanning of multiple pages at a time, and it can hold up to 25 sheets.
