Production rates are excellent at 22 pages per minute for black sheets and 15 pages per minute for color graphics. And, at 4800 x 1200 dpi, there's no doubt that the color resolution - especially for photos– is this printer's premium feature.

Although black sheet resolution isn't quite as impressive at just 600 x 600 dpi, the Canon i560 inkjet cartridge printer is a manageable, compact desktop unit, measuring 16.5" x 10.8" by 6.8" and weighing only 7.5 lbs. Individual replacement Canon i560 ink cartridges are easy to change and the clear casing makes ink levels easy to read. The 150-sheet paper tray handles glossy, high-resolution photo papers as well as envelopes, and standard sized matte papers and transparencies.

In addition to the direct print port, this printer features parallel and USB connectivity and supports Microsoft Windows XP, NT 4.0, 98 and 2000 as well as Macintosh OS. Reviewers praise the low cost/high value of the Canon i560 inkjet printer, pointing out that the printer itself costs about as much as two replacement ink cartridges of a competing brand – definitely something to think about. Although yield is lower than some – 420 pages of black and 280 pages for each color – individual Canon i560 ink cartridges let you replace only as needed for significant long-term savings.
